Tuna sandwiches are a perfect snack. Crispy sandwich toast with a hearty topping of tuna, tomatoes and lettuce leaves. Prima refined is the sour cream of red onions and pickled cucumbers.

  • 2 cans tuna in its own juice
  • 1 red onion
  • 6-8 tablespoons sour cream
  • 3-4 pickled cucumbers
  • 2 to matoes
  • lettuce leaves of your choice
  • 4 slices sandwich toast
  • salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • sugar to taste
  • 1-2 tsp lemon juice


  • Drain the tuna.
  • Cut the tomatoes into thin slices.
  • Finely dice the red onion.
  • Dice pickled cucumbers finely.
  • Mix onions and pickled cucumbers with sour cream.
  • Season with salt, pepper, sugar and lemon juice.
  • Wash lettuce leaves and pat dry.
  • Toast slices of toast or toast them on the grill.
  • Spread with the sour cream.
  • Place lettuce leaves on bread slices.
  • Top with tomato slices.
  • Spread tuna on top.
  • Place second slice with spread side on top.
  • Cut tuna sandwiches in half and enjoy.


You can eat the sandwiches on the go, they are quick and easy to prepare. The sour cream can be spiced up with mustard, curry or horseradish.
