Nach diesem Rezept wird zunächst ein Sirup aus den Erdbeeren hergestellt. Anschließend kommen die Erdbeerstückchen hinzu und werden eingekocht. Diese Marmelade schmeckt lecker, aber auch nicht zu süß und eignet sich perfekt zum Frühstück oder einer Brotmahlzeit zwischendurch, wenn einen der kleine Hunger nach etwas Süßem überfällt!

  • 2 kg strawberries
  • 800 g sugar
  • 2 lemons


  • Wash strawberries, cut into small pieces and place in a large bowl.
  • Squeeze the lemons with the help of the citrus press.
  • Add 200-250 g of sugar and the juice of the lemons and stir well.
  • Then cover and leave in the refrigerator for about 6-8 hours.
  • Pass the strawberries through a sieve, collect the resulting strawberry juice in the saucepan.
  • Add remaining sugar to strawberry juice and simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 25 minutes.
  • The strawberry syrup should be reduced slightly by half. It is not essential to remove any foam that has formed.
  • Add the strawberry pieces to the syrup, bring to a boil and simmer for another 20 minutes.
  • Finally, pour the strawberry jam into sterilized jars, seal and turn upside down.
  • After cooling, the jam will still thicken.


The jam is best stored in a dark and cool place.
