Quark casserole is quickly made and is warm with sweet and sour oranges and raspberries a delight in the cold season. The curd mixture is composed of cottage cheese, eggs and oat bran. The oat bran is very healthy, because it is very rich in fiber and therefore a perfect source of energy.

Ingredients

  • 400 g low fat curd cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 70 g oat bran
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2-4 tbsp. xylitol
  • 30 g raspberries frozen
  • 1 orange peeled sliced
  • 10 g almond flakes
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • coconut oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Separate eggs, beat egg whites until stiff.
  3. Stir curd, egg yolks, oat bran, baking powder and xylitol together in a bowl.
  4. Fold in beaten egg whites with a kitchen spatula.
  5. Grease a baking dish with coconut oil.
  6. Pour the curd mixture into the baking dish.
  7. Cut the orange slices in half and spread them on the curd mixture.
  8. Place the frozen raspberries in between.
  9. Sprinkle with almond flakes.
  10. Bake the quark casserole for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
  11. Enjoy warm or cold sprinkled with cinnamon.

The carbohydrates contained in oat bran are complex and metabolized slowly. Thus, it is a perfect source of energy for a longer feeling of satiety. You can also use oat bran in porridge, smoothie or even in baking for bread or cakes.
