The simplest recipe for a tasty pastry, which is visually eye-catching. Under the apple slices is a layer of applesauce, so the apple pie tastes tender and fruity. The apricot jam gives the apple pie a delicious glow and invites guests to have coffee!

  • 250 g puff pastry
  • 250 g applesauce
  • 4-5 apples
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • cinnamon to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter + for greasing
  • 2 tablespoons apricot jam


  • Grease the baking pan with butter.
  • Roll out the puff pastry round, place in the baking dish, pull up the edges and press down lightly. Cut off any excess dough.
  • Prick the dough with a fork and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
  • Then spread the applesauce on the dough.
  • Wash and core the apples, but do not peel them, and cut them into very thin slices.
  • Arrange the apple slices on the applesauce in a circle with the skin facing up, starting from the edges.
  • Sprinkle the apples with the brown sugar.
  • And sprinkle cinnamon on top, if desired.
  • Cut the butter into small cubes and spread on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes.
  • If the edges of the dough brown too quickly, you can cover them with aluminum foil.
  • Put the apricot jam in the microwave for about 20 seconds to make it more liquid. Then spread the apricot jam over the finished apple pie.
