  • 1 onion
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 carrot
  • 3-4 potatoes
  • 1 bell bell pepper
  • 2 l meat broth
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 400 g pelmeni
  • Herbs to taste


  • Peel and wash potatoes, onion and carrot.
  • Cut potatoes into cubes, chop onion finely, grate carrot on coarse grater.
  • Wash peppers, remove seeds and cut into strips.
  • Heat oil in a saucepan.
  • Fry the onions in it for about 5 minutes until golden.
  • Add carrots and sauté for another 5 minutes.
  • Add the potatoes and peppers to the saucepan, pour in the broth and cook the soup over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add pelmeni to the soup and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer the soup over low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Remove soup from heat and serve in soup bowls.
  • Garnish the soup with chopped herbs and sour cream, if desired.
