Pear jam is very aromatic with oranges and tastes great not only on bread. It is a great recipe for the cold season and ideal for filling desserts.

  • 1 kg pears peeled
  • 500 g sugar
  • 1 orange
  • 1 stick cinnamon


  • Peel, core and slice the pears.
  • Put the pears in a pot and cover with sugar.
  • Stir everything and let it steep for 3-4 hours.
  • Remove the peel from the orange and chop finely.
  • Cut the orange pulp into pieces.
  • Add the cinnamon stick, orange and zest to the pears in the pot and stir.
  • Bring the jam to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Allow the pear jam to cool completely.
  • Repeat the boiling of about 10 minutes again and let cool.
  • Pour the pear jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  • Store the jam in a cool and dark place.
