A wonderfully fragrant apple pie made of crispy shortcrust pastry and juicy aromatic filling of apples and cinnamon.

  • 200 g flour
  • 90 g butter cold
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp water cold
  • 1 tbsp sugar


  • 70 g butter
  • 70 g brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1,5 tbsp. water
  • 4 green apples
  • ½ tsp cinnamon



  • Knead sifted flour, butter, egg, sugar and a spoonful of water into a shortcrust pastry.
  • Put the dough in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
  • Roll out 2/3 of the dough and put it in a baking pan ( with a diameter of 18 cm ), forming the sides a little high.


  • Peel the apples and cut them into thin 4-5 mm slices.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  • Add the flour and mix without lumps.
  • Add sugar and water to the pot with melted butter and cook for 2-4 minutes.
  • Add apples to buttercream, add cinnamon and stir well.
  • Put the filling on the dough.
  • Roll out the second piece of dough and cut into strips. Or use a lattice die.
  • Lay out the dough strips as a lattice on the pie.
  • Bake the apple pie in the oven at 180-190 °C for 40-45 minutes.


Serve the apple pie with a scoop of ice cream and a cup of coffee or tea.
